“Midlife is when you reach the top of the ladder and find that it was against the wrong wall.”
- Joseph Campbell
In the first half of life, we often strive to do the things we believe we should do, and at midlife it’s not unusual for women to wake up and notice that we hardly recognize ourselves. Weary, sometimes resentful, we realize we have invested years of our life- energy into goals, tasks and relationships that are disconnected from our deepest nature, from our instincts, from our own authentic being.
Soul Sister workshops provide a safe, supportive and creative space for women to explore and reclaim the parts of themselves they set aside in the first half of life, parts of themselves that hold the energy and passion they require to live an empowered and meaningful second half of life.
Through direct learning, visualization, writing, reading, creative explorations and ‘enlightened witnessing’ of our own and other women’s stories, we begin to uncover both new and familiar but ‘buried’ aspects of our deep authentic nature. We work together question and transform our limiting beliefs, roles, tasks and situations; freeing us to bring our gifts to a world that is sorely in need of our unique contributions.
